Martin Deeley is an internationally recognized dog trainer, writer and multi-media commentator who educates and inspires dog owners world-wide with his logical concepts and methods of training dogs. With over 26 years of experience, he is skilled in pet dog training and behavior problem counseling, but his first love is field dogs and retriever training of all forms.
Mr. Deeley has written three books on field dog training, writes articles on training regularly for British and American magazines including the American Kennel Club Gazette, and has designed, directed and presented nine training videos. He believes that communication and training techniques have a dramatic influence on the motivation of both people and dogs. As a regular film commentator for British, Irish and Danish National Championship events for the last ten years, he also includes his own on-site observations as he describes the entire one to three day event. In addition, he runs workshops and seminars throughout Europe and America, and is the Executive Director of the International Association of Canine Professionals (IACP).
Of all his achievements Martin is proud of his main claim to fame - the only journalist ever granted a private interview with Her Majesty the Queen of England. On her beautiful Royal estate of Sandringham, Her Majesty spent a day with Martin sharing Her thoughts, showing the abilities of Her dogs and talking about Her deep love of dogs and field dogs in particular. His enchanting and fascinating article, along with the photographs he took during this interview were and still are published in National newspapers and magazines world-wide.
