Praziquantel (Droncit®, Drontal®, D-Worm™, Tradewinds™ Tape Worm Tabs)
Veterinary & Aquatic Services Department, Drs. Foster & Smith

Praziquantel is used to treat tapeworm infestations. The dose varies with product used. Side effects are rare with the oral form, but may include vomiting, diarrhea, sedation, or staggering. Consult your veterinarian if your pet experiences these signs while being treated with praziquantel. Elimination of parasites must also include sanitation and prevention measures to ensure the pet does not become reinfected.
