Cephalosporins are broad spectrum, safe, commonly used antibiotics. They are often prescribed for bacterial infections while waiting for laboratory results. Use all of the medication prescribed, or the infection is likely to recur or become worse. Side effects are rare, although oral forms can upset the stomach.


Keep this and all other medications out of the reach of children and pets.
