Griseofulvin is used in multiple animal species for the treatment of dermatophyte fungal infections (ringworm). Treatment must also include removing the fungus from the environment (e.g., bedding). Ringworm in pets can be easily transmitted to humans. Treatment needs to extend past the disappearance of lesions. Griseofulvin causes birth defects: do NOT use in pregnant or nursing females or breeding males. Use with caution in kittens. Contact your veterinarian if your pet experiences lack of appetite, vomiting, diarrhea, depression, or weakness while being treated with griseofulvin.

Keep this and all other medications out of the reach of children and pets.
