Each state has a veterinary association. The activities of these associations include sponsoring educational conferences and conventions, producing educational materials that veterinarians can use when discussing health and medical issues with pet owners, providing input to the state legislatures for legislations on veterinary related issues such as rabies vaccination regulations, and informing veterinarians of special veterinary health concerns occurring in their geographical area. Many associations have or are developing web sites, which can provide information to veterinarians and pet owners. If you have a particular concern, would like more information on a subject, or perhaps are looking for a speaker for a convention or other event, you may want to contact your state's veterinary medical association.
